Sarah Jessica Parker Responds to Kim Cattrall’s Instagram Post
The drama between Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker just never seems to die down. After Cattrall's extremely heated Instagram post last week aimed at her former co-star, which she posted following the tragic death of her brother, Parker has finally responded to the allegations.
In a new interview withPeople, Parker denies that there was ever any feud between the actresses, and she reiterates her support for Cattrall. Parker says:
The interview with Piers Morgan that Parker is referring to saw Cattrall say she'd never been friends with her co-stars, and that she'd been refusing to sign on forSex and the City 3since 2019.
As for her relationship with Cattrall going forward, Parker says, "So there was no fight; it was completely fabricated, because I actually never responded. And I won’t, because she needed to say what she needed to say, and that is her privilege."
She's also not up for replacing Cattrall's character, or having Samantha Jones played by a different actress. Parker tellsPeople, "I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing that part. "
Cattrall's Instagram post last weekend, which was aimed at Parker, famously said:"My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?' Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend.
